2021 Tian Hong Youth Art Contest (Nature and Me) FAQs:

Q: Are there any requirements for the size of the artwork?

A: Nope, there is no specific requirement. Any size will do. You want to make sure, however, capture your artwork clearly in the digital picture.

Q: What is the deadline for the artwork submission this year?

A: The deadline has been extended to July 31st, 2021 (vs. the Jun 30th deadline originally communicated in April this year), so you have more of your summer time to participate!

Q: Can I submit via Facebook messenger? A: No, to streamline the process, we ask all contestants to submit their artwork(s) via email to tianhongfoundation@gmail.com. Please refer to the link here for more submission details. For those of you who have already submitted, we will take the files as is and rename them as appropriate. For future submissions, please follow the below standard naming convention for your submitted files via email. This will allow us to streamline review process by the judge panel: Entry Form: your first name + last name + "2021 entry form" Artwork(s): your first name + last name + name of your artwork

Q: Will there be a scholarship award for this contest or is it a certificate? A: There will be cash awards for winners (via PayPal) in each age group (details included here). We also offer certificates of achievement or participation as per request.

Q: Can I see some of the past examples of award winners?

A: Yes! Refer to our website here. Keep in mind we have a different theme every year, so past winning artworks have reflected the specific theme of that year. e.g. For the year of 2020, the main theme was "Love, Hope and Collective Humanity".

Q: Are there forms we need to submit in order to participate? A: Yes, there is one page of entry form which you need to print and sign and email together with your artworks. See link here.

Q: What should I fill in for "media" in the entry form? A: "Media" here refers to the type/form/material with which the artwork is created, e.g. watercolor, oil painting, acrylic, collage, digital art, photography, mixed media, etc.

Q: What is the age range allowed for your contest?

A: Currently the contest is tailored for artists aged 21 or younger. We also separate our contestants into two age groups for evaluation purposes: age 4 (or younger) -12 and age 13-21.
