Anh Le

is an emerging filmmaker whose storytelling themes revolve around family, linguistics, and the art of letting go. While working on various short films, documentaries, and commercials, she enjoys writing to her penpals and singing old tunes in her free time.

Angela Abalo

is a senior college student at California Lutheran University majoring in Psychology and Political Science. Poetry is a big part of her life and it helps express herself in such a creative way. She is passionate about social justice and mental health and it is always a joy for her to make an impact by expressing her passion through poetry. 

Evani Snyder 

 is double majoring in Art Practice and Molecular and Cellular Biology at UC Berkeley. In her practice, she explores using oil and acrylic paints, charcoal drawings, and sculpture techniques to make works focused on her cultural identity and the beauty of nature. Outside of art, she does biology research, try new cooking recipes, and spend time with friends and family. 

Gabriella Say 

is a current graphic design student at California State University, Long Beach. She is honored to be a part of this year's committee as she is developing her artistic voice through visual exploration and conceptual practice. The Tian Hong Foundation has played a significant role in building her confidence and supporting her growth as an emerging artist.

Iris Ding

is a recent graduate looking to rekindle her interest in fine arts. Watercolor and gouache are her favorite mediums.

Jessica Lin

is a Taiwanese-American artist from the Bay Area, California. She earned her BFA in Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design. Currently, she works as a Creative Services Coordinator at Blackwing, and teaches students with special needs how to paint. 

Max Huang

is a second-year undergraduate at the University of Chicago. He enjoys various forms of art, including drawing, music, and poetry. For Max, art offers a calming change of pace from his studies in molecular engineering. It's a way to slow down and observe the world. He also believes it can cultivate creativity and serve as an inspiration for engineering designs. Finally, as an Asian American distance runner, Max finds that poetry in particular gives him a space to reflect on his identity and culture, and how they've shaped his experiences.

Ryoma Ikeda

is a student at UC Berkeley with a strong interest in creativity, critical thinking, and cross-cultural expression. As a judge, he is excited to support young artists and writers by recognizing work that is thoughtful, original, and meaningful.
