                                MY SCHOOL, MY SHELTER

                                      By Srishti Dasgupta

Have you considered that a shelter is not just a roof on top? It’s the place that makes you feel the most at home, the place that makes you feel like you belong! For me, my shelter is my community at school; friends, classrooms, and teachers. The moment I step inside the busy building, I feel like I am stepping into a new world of education and fun! The walls with every possible color make me feel unique. Friends of every type create a better atmosphere. And the teachers who enforce us to grow creates understanding and knowledge. To me, school is not just a one roof area, but it protects the children inside it.

To start with, the comfort of school never ends despite every turning corner, and students with every type of imagination fill the school with laughter and kindness. I feel a safe boundary of protection when I enter the doors of education and school is the very thing that makes me feel safe.

Additionally, my teachers make school feel comforting because they are always there to help me when I am confused or nervous. Their encouraging words drift through the classroom like music floating through the air. My classmates make school feel warm and welcoming because we laugh together, work together, and create unforgettable memories. The cheerful chatter in the cafeteria buzzes like happy little birds singing in the springtime.

School is just a wonderful place for children like us, with new adventures waiting at every turn! But the adventure is what makes me feel like I am at home, what makes me feel like I really belong. My school is a wonderful shelter with not just a roof on top, but with friends, classmates, teachers, diversity and protection that just can’t possibly make me go wrong!
