The Brush Inside My Words
Red
Fire burning,
Head exploding,
The stubborn side of me
Gets the best of me
When I feel ruby red.
Orange
I’m strong and bold,
Vibrant, not old,
Kicking off with a grin—
Let the wild day begin
When I’m feeling orange.
Yellow
Summer rays,
Bright sunny days,
Thick chalk on golden roads,
Glittering lakes with boats.
Yellow is my warmth and light.
Green
Green so carefree,
Grassy meadows,
Growing like a flower,
Yes, I’ve got some power
When I feel grassy green.
Blue
Midnight ocean,
Breeze in motion.
Sometimes it saddens me,
But sapphire joy
Always shines through.
Violet
Big purple trees,
Enchanted skies,
Inspirational breeze,
Ultraviolet dreams
Sparked by purple.
Me
When my colors blend together, They’re stronger than ever before.
I’m not confined to just one box—
All of them make me more.
I like it that way.
