Not every color can be seen
by Nandita
A dip of a paint;
A stroke of a brush.
A
tear in the canvas
the feelings rush
a vibrant display
no emotion can’t be hushed
my eyes bleed with the Red of blood
from past memories that cut me
my hand holds an Orange bloom
slowly unfurling with every laugh
my smile lights with a soft Yellow hue
like the shine of the sun
my tongue Green with every lie
holds back every truth
my shoulders in Blue
weigh
down
from all my last mistakes
my feet stride in Purple
my arms hug filled in Pink of a
sunset sky and dreams of more
my gut tumbles
and tumbles
like the Brown leaves of fall
my throat clogs with unused words
emitting only the Black thoughts
my lungs breathe a White symphony
of secrets and mysteries
known only to Me.
