The Colors of My Story

I love the pink and orange colors in the morning sky,

They always force me to move on, fight hard, and try.

With a young, bold, and trusting heart, I chase my dreams,

Inspired by the sunrise, my life just streams.

Two main colors, yellow and blue, are always present in my soul,

These are my roots; they lead me to the goal,

Of carrying Ukrainian pride and remind me of my roots,

These colors are the best for me and suit.

The sky in our world is gorgeous, big, and vast,

Reminds inside of me that we are all connected to the last,

The color blue reflects that we are not alone,

In this huge world, and that is what we call our home.

The color brown is my mother’s color of the eyes,

This color, whether if I wear or see it,

It gives me strength and guides me in the time,

Through thick and thin,

Her brown eyes reminded me where I had been.

The color gray in me reminds me of the work,

Of father’s hands that never were afraid of dirt.

To work on my dreams and my wild goals,

For someone, gray is a struggle, but for me, it plays a role.

These colors help me keep my hopes alive,

Forget about all the struggles, focus on my dreams, and thrive.

The colors that we have in each of us, they keep us learn and grow,

They are alive in us as streams in creeks would flow.

I always keep inside my heart the color red.

It’s like a fire that keeps love alive as poems often said.

With the color red inside my soul, I always have the light,

That keeps my mind alive, doesn’t let give up, keeps always fight.

One of my most loved colors is the green,

You see this color in most of the places you have been.

It holds the harmony inside my thoughts,

The nature’s touch, it guides me through tough spots.

The colors I described above they blend with me,

They make me who I plan and want to be,

They paint my world in shades that keep me thrive,

These are colors that are keeping me alive.

And each of us has own colors that are true,

These colors are united inside of me and you.

And when we bring our colors to each other and combine

That is what makes our world big, bright, and shine.
