The love of baseball
The smack of the bat
The velocity of the ball
Flying through the air
All the way over the fence
The sun on your face
And warmth on your heart
The dream of winning
And being the hero
Hot summer days
And clear summer nights
It's the best time of year
When baseball is being played
It's loved by many
An american pastime
A gentleman's game
It never grows old
The hot dogs, the ice cream
The cotton candy and peanuts
The memories being made
There is nothing better
Running as fast as you can
Sliding into the base
Avoiding the tag
The excitement is staggering
The hope in your heart
The joy in your soul
The whole combination
Is pure ecstasy
