Such a fascinating twist of words and instruments!

Filled with emotions

Allowing you to feel heartbreak or happiness in an instant

My infatuation with music continued,

Until I was seven

When I picked up some drumsticks,

And had my first drum lesson

Beating to the rhythm, holding the time

Pounding of the beat, lyrics and rhymes

Music was my medium

Something I understood

I adored certain bands

And I wished to match their skill just as good

A dream of performance,

With harmony and beauty

A dream I craved,

Oh so dearly

A faithful day I found myself,

Pounding on the drums,

With friends and all

Going to gigs, performing for others

A dream I was living with my brethren

We played and performed wonderful melodies,

To the point where a lady was brought to tears before me

And as I live this dream, playing my silly tunes

I happily smile at myself, with the thought of,

“For the rest of my life, this is what I want to do.”
